Serta Description
Serta comes as a tablet and a concentrate liquid to take by mouth. It is usually taken once in a day to treat premenstrual dysphoric disorder, sertraline. Some take it everyday of the month and some on certain days of the month. You must strictly follow the directions on your prescription label and consult with your doctor or pharmacist if you fail to understand any part. You should consume Serta as prescribed on the label or as per your doctor's advice.Serta concentrate must be diluted before use. Immediately before taking it, use the provided dropper to remove the amount of concentrate your doctor has directed you to take. Mix the concentrate with 4 ounces 1/2 cup of water, ginger ale, lemon or lime soda, lemonade, or orange juice. Do not mix the concentrate with any liquids other than the ones listed. Drink immediately. Your doctor may start you on a low dose of Serta and gradually increase your dose, not more than once a week. It may take a few weeks or longer before you feel the full benefit of Serta.Continue to take sertraline even if you feel well. Do not stop taking sertraline without talking to your doctor.
How to Use Serta
Take this medication by mouth usually once daily with or without food; or as directed by your doctor. It is recommended that you take your dosage at the same time each day, either in the morning or in the evening.The dosage is based on your medical condition and response to therapy. It is important to continue taking this medication as prescribed even if you feel well. Do not stop taking this medication without consulting your doctor.
Serta Side Effects
Serta Side Effects show the following symptoms. Immediately check with your doctor if any of these symptoms are severe or do not go away:Upset Stomach Diarrhea Constipation Vomiting Dry Mouth Gas Or Bloating Loss Of Appetite Weight Changes Drowsiness Dizziness Excessive Tiredness Headache Pain, Burning, Or Tingling In The Hands Or Feet Excitement Nervousness Shaking Hands That You Cannot Control Difficulty Falling Asleep Or Staying Asleep Sore Throat Changes In Sex Drive Or Ability Excessive Sweating Some Serta side effects can be serious. The following symptoms are uncommon,but if you experience any of them, call your doctor immediately: Blurred Vision Seizure Abnormal Bleeding or Bruising. Seeing things or hearing voices that do not exist hallucinating.Sertraline may cause other side effects. Call your doctor if you have any unusual problems while taking this medication.
Serta Interaction
This drug should also not be used with the following medications because very serious interactions may occur: pimozide, weight loss drugs (e.g., sibutramine, phentermine), tryptophan, terfenadine, astemizole, dihydroergotamine. If you are currently using any of these medications, tell your doctor or pharmacist before starting zolof.
Serta Overdose
In case of you had an overdose of Serta Medicine, call your local poison control center at 1-800-222-1222. If the victim has collapsed or is not breathing, call local emergency services at 911. Some of the common symptoms of Serta Medicine Overdose are: Hair Loss Changes In Sex Drive Or Ability Drowsiness Excessive Tiredness Difficulty Falling Asleep Or Staying Asleep Diarrhea Vomiting Rapid Pounding Or Irregular Heartbeat Upset Stomach Dizziness Excitement Shaking Hands That You Cannot Control Seizures Hearing Voices Or Seeing Things That Do Not Exist Hallucinating Unconsciousness Fainting.
Serta Notes
Keep all appointments with your doctor. Do not let anyone else take your medication. Ask your pharmacist any questions you have about refilling your prescription.
Serta Missed Dose
If you miss a dose, use it as soon as you remember. If it is near the time of the next dose, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. Do not double the dose to catch up.

Serta is also used sometimes to treat social phobia, headaches, and sexual problems. Talk to your doctor about the possible risks of using this medication for your condition. This medication may be prescribed for other uses ask your doctor or pharmacist for more information.

This medication has also been used to treat a type of decreased sexual ability (premature ejaculation) in men.Consult your doctor for more details about its other uses.
Serta Storage
Store at room temperature at 25 degrees C away from light and moisture.Do not store in the bathroom. Keep all medicines away from children and pets.Throw away any medication that is outdated or no longer needed. Talk to your pharmacist about the proper disposal of your medication.
Serta Precaution
If you are allergic to Serta or any other medicine, check with your doctor or pharmacist before using it. Before taking sertraline liquid concentrate, tell your doctor if you are allergic to latex. Do not take Serta if you are taking monoamine oxidase MAO inhibitors, including phenelzine Nardil and tranylcypromine Parnate, or have stopped taking them within the past two weeks, or if you are taking pimozide Orap. Do not take disulfiram Antabuse while taking sertraline concentrate. Inform your doctor and pharmacist what other prescription and nonprescription medications, vitamins, nutritional supplements, and herbal products you are taking. Be sure to mention any of the following: anticoagulants blood thinners such as warfarin Coumadin antidepressants mood elevators such as amitriptyline Elavil, amoxapine Asendin, clomipramine Anafranil, desipramine Norpramin, doxepin Adapin, Sinequan, imipramine Tofranil, nortriptyline Aventyl, Pamelor, protriptyline Vivactil, and trimipramine Surmontil cimetidine Tagamet diazepam Valium digoxin Lanoxin lithium Eskalith, Lithobid medications for anxiety, mental illness, Parkinsons disease, and seizures medications for irregular heartbeat such as flecainide Tambocor and propafenone Rythmol oral medications for diabetes such as tolbutamide Orinase sedatives sleeping pills sumatriptan Imitrex and tranquilizers. Your doctor may need to change the doses of your medications or monitor you carefully for side effects. Inform your doctor if you have recently had a heart attack and if you have or have ever had seizures, bipolar disorder, or liver or heart disease. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant, plan to become pregnant, or are breast-feeding. If you become pregnant while taking sertraline, call your doctor. You should be aware that sertraline may make you drowsy. Do not drive a car or operate machinery until you know how this medication affects you. Ask your doctor about the safe use of alcoholic beverages while you are taking Serta.
